Job summary

Brook Street is seeking a Senior Support Worker for a solo placement in a children's residential home, focusing on emotional and behavioural needs. You will lead daily care and support a therapeutic, child-centered approach to help young people feel safe and valued.

The role requires at least 12 months' experience in a children's residential setting, a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience of at least 12 months in a children's residential care home.
• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• A full UK driving licence (as you may be required to drive as part of the role).
• Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support day-to-day care in a solo placement setting, helping children and young people feel safe, listened to and valued
• Work with emotional and behavioural needs using a therapeutic, person-centred approach
• Support positive outcomes through consistent care, boundaries, and encouragement
• Help maintain high standards in line with Ofsted expectations and best practice
• Take a proactive role in day-to-day routines, communication, and teamwork within the home
