Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker for a permanent role in the LE9 area. The post focuses on leading shifts to ensure safety and engagement for children in placement and supervising Residential Workers with guidance and performance reviews.

The role requires safeguarding adherence, driving educational engagement with providers, and maintaining confidentiality while promoting a positive, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure the safety, support, and engagement of children in placement
• Oversee each child’s Placement Plan and ensure adherence to care standards
• Promote educational engagement and liaise with educational providers
• Support and supervise Residential Workers, providing guidance and encouragement
• Manage and record staff supervision and conduct performance reviews
• Identify safeguarding or practice concerns and escalat
• Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, accidents, or risks
• Ensure all staff comply with policies, procedures, and safeguarding protocols
• Undertake staff training, development, and induction processes
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold organisational values at all times
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe working environment

Candidate Responsibilities as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker - LE9:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 12 months experience working with children & young people
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Children and Young People Services (Desired)
• 2+ years in a Children’s home, with at least 1 year in a leadership or shift leading role
• Enhanced DBS check
• Full UK driving licence
