Job summary

Priory Group in Stanley Mews (Blackpool) is recruiting a Senior Support Worker for a new development opening later this year. This is a full-time permanent role paying £14.25 per hour.

You will lead shifts, supervise and coach staff, ensure person-centred plans, manage records, and support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to achieve independence. A caring, professional approach, knowledge of safeguarding and care standards, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care
  • Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
  • Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
  • Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
  • Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
  • Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
  • Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
  • Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.

Stanley Mews has an opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join our team.
Stanley Mews is a new development opening later this year in Blackpool FY3 and will offer residential support to adults with a learning disability and/or autism.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
