Job Description:

Salary: £13.71 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a 24/7 rota

The Role:

Provide practical and emotional care to enable individuals to lead as ordinary a life as possible. Flexibility required for shifts including bank holidays, weekends, and sleep-ins.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement support plans and activities in challenging environments.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, families, and others.
  • Assist with meals, laundry, cleaning, and social events.
  • Maintain accurate notes and records.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality care.
Service Users:

Support young adults with learning difficulties, mental health issues, behavioral challenges, autism, and physical disabilities across supported living services.

Personal Characteristics:
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience supporting adults with challenging behaviors, learning disabilities, or mental health issues.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Confidence to work independently or in a team.
  • Passion for working with vulnerable adults.
  • Commitment to safeguarding standards.
The Organisation:

CareTech Community Services Ltd supports 5,000 adults across over 300 services in the UK, providing innovative care pathways in various settings including supported living, shared housing, and residential services. Candidates will need to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure, funded by the employer.
