Kisimul Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker for our adult services with a learning disabilities focus. The role involves advocating, delivering person-centred care, and supporting a staff team to provide high-quality care to residents.

You will contribute to care planning, participate in reviews, and help design engaging activities and outings, while maintaining accurate records and liaising with families. The position emphasizes teamwork and ongoing staff development.

Responsibilities

• Positively contribute to the personal development of residents with practical and emotional support.
• Lead by example, behave and communicate appropriately at all times.
• Design, implement, deliver and contribute in a wide range of recreational events within the home and wider community.
• Contribute to care planning and participate in reviews with knowledge of nutrition and hygiene.
• Maintain accurate, clear and concise record keeping.
• Own key-worker duties and strengthen links with families and significant others.
• Work with the Manager to ensure streamlined service delivery and consistent communication across homes.
• Support staff with supervisions and attend staff meetings and handovers.
• Contribute to staff training and development, including personal training needs.
