Job summary

Voyage Care in Rotherham seeks a Senior Support Worker to lead a busy respite centre, helping people gain independence and supporting daily living and finances. You will supervise the team and coordinate shifts, with a focus on quality of life and person-centred care.

The position requires prior senior care experience, Level 3 Health & Social Care, and ability to work with individuals with distress or mental health needs. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Experience supporting individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress and mental health conditions.
• Experience supervising staff and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day supervision and management of the respite centre.
• Allocate shifts, induct new colleagues and support supervision.
• Support people to gain independence in daily living and manage finances.
• Ensure satisfactory DBS checks and references.
