Job summary

Voyage Care in Rotherham seeks a Senior Support Worker to lead a busy respite centre, helping people gain independence and supporting daily living and finances. You will supervise the team and coordinate shifts, with a focus on quality of life and person-centred care.

The position requires prior senior care experience, Level 3 Health & Social Care, and ability to work with individuals with distress or mental health needs. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Experience supporting individuals requiring enhanced support, including distress and mental health conditions.
• Experience supervising staff and shifts.

Senior Support Worker – Rotherham - £13.72ph - £15.32ph

Shifts average 42 hours per week, 3 shifts per week.

This role operates on a 2‑week rolling rota, giving you 8 days off in every 14 — a rare and valuable shift pattern that supports a healthy work–life balance.

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our Respite Centre in Rotherham. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values.
