Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment in Oldbury, West Midlands, is seeking a committed Support Worker to provide high quality, person-centred care to a young individual in a residential setting. The role is permanent, full-time, 36–48 hours per week across days and nights.

You will hold NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care and have experience in similar roles. Salary ranges from £27,144 to £36,192 per annum, with generous benefits including rotas planned in advance, overtime opportunities, ongoing training,

Responsibilities

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs while maintaining dignity and privacy.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice.
• Follow care plans and positive behaviour support approaches to manage challenging behaviours.
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Support Worker to provide high quality, person centered support to a young individual with complex care and support needs within a residential care setting in Oldbury, West Midlands area.You will be working for one of UK's leading children's healthcare providers

We are looking for people who genuinely want to make a positive difference to the life of the individual they support.The right person will be patient, understanding and willing to build a trusting relationship, while being there for the individual through both their good and more challenging days

As a Support Worker your key duties include:

• Provide 3:1 or 4:1 person-centred support within the home
• Assist with personal care, mobility, medication and daily living needs while maintaining dignity and privacy
• Provide emotional support and companionship, encouraging independence and individual choice
• Support with behaviours that may challenge, following agreed care plans and positive behaviour support approaches
• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding procedures to ensure safe, consistent care

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous experience in complex care, homecare, supported living, residential care, nursing care or a similar environment is desirable
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care or support needs
• A caring, compassionate and patient approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build professional and trusting relationships with individuals and their families

To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care + experience working in a similar role and setting
