Job summary

Mears Group PLC in Macduff is hiring a Senior Support Worker on a permanent full-time contract (40 hours per week). The role offers an hourly rate of £14.22 plus mileage for calls, and requires flexibility beyond a standard 9–5 schedule to support our care teams and service users in their own homes.

You will mentor staff, oversee service delivery, maintain high care standards, participate in on-call cover, and collaborate with social workers.

• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Support care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
• Carry out spot checks, audits and observations in service users’ homes
• Attend meetings with social workers and other professionals
• Monitor care standards and ensure compliance with policies and legislation
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding throughout the service
• Report concerns, incidents and progress to your line manager
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide emergency or holiday cover when needed
• Promote a safe working environment and contribute to team meetings
• Lead and mentor care teams to improve service delivery
