Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker to mentor care teams, oversee service delivery and support individuals with complex needs in Central Scotland. The role requires flexibility beyond a standard 9–5 schedule and involves on-call duties and occasional direct care.

Candidates should have care sector experience, a full UK driving licence and a proactive, compassionate approach toward delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
• Flexibility with working hours and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Carry out spot checks, audits and observations in service users’ homes.
• Create and review initial care plans and conduct regular reviews.
• Attend meetings with social workers and other professionals.
• Monitor care standards and ensure policy/legislation compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding.
• Report concerns and progress to supervisor.
• Participate in on-call rota and cover when needed.
• Deliver direct care on occasions.
