Job summary

Priory Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join PSL Hull and East Riding. A mix of day and night shifts, 8am–8:30pm or 8pm–8:30am, are available, with a pay rate of £13.95 per hour and full-time contracts.

You will lead shifts, supervise care delivery, support residents with personalised care plans, manage records, and assist with health and safety procedures while promoting dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate others.
• Committed to promoting choice, dignity and independence for those we support.
• Knowledge of care standards, policies, and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care.
• Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
• Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
• Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
• Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
• Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
• Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
