Job summary

Priory Group in Gateholme, Wakefield, is seeking a Senior Support Worker to supervise and deliver person-centred care for residents with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. You will join a compassionate team to help implement individual care plans during day shifts.

Hours are 7:30am to 7:30pm with some weekend work; this permanent full-time role offers a rate of £13.95 per hour and opportunities for training and development within Priory's supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care.
• Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
• Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
• Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
• Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
• Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
• Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
• Collaborate with qualified staff on assessment and care plans.
