Our client, a leading children's charity, is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker to join their Emotional Well-being Home in Coalville, Leicestershire. You will lead and mentor a team of Residential Support Workers, build trusted relationships with children aged 8-18, and collaborate with families and professionals to promote wellbeing.

The role requires safeguarding knowledge, shift flexibility (weekends/bank holidays), and a commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Requires A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or willingness to complete within a set timeframe.
• Relevant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory/shift leader experience in a residential care environment.
• Good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Building trust and developing nurturing relationships to promote independence, wellbeing, and social skills.
• Leading and supporting the Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties.
• Working in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
• Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Documenting information accurately and ensuring records are kept up to date in line with safeguarding policies.
• Promoting a safe environment at all times, adhering to safeguarding procedures and policies.
