Job summary

LRL is recruiting Senior Support Workers and Support Workers across Yorkshire for permanent positions. The role involves providing safe, person-centred care to individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours, including high-acuity support on 3:1/4:1/5:1 staffing packages.

Responsibilities include using PBS approaches, de-escalation techniques, and accurate documentation. Senior roles command higher salaries and progression via internal training programs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Experience with enhanced staffing packages (3:1/4:1/5:1) or high-acuity services.
• Practical experience managing behavioural escalation and physical aggression.
• Strong de-escalation techniques and calm communication.
• Experience working with detailed care plans, risk assessments and PBS plans.
• Understanding of safeguarding, duty of care and least restrictive practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with care plans and PBS protocols.
• Work within 3:1, 4:1 or 5:1 staffing levels and understand roles.
• Identify triggers and respond to changes in behaviour promptly.
• Use de-escalation techniques to reduce distress and escalation.
• Maintain professional boundaries and clear, respectful communication.
• Record care delivery, observations and incidents accurately.
