Job summary

Worcestershire County Council are hiring a Senior Support Worker at Worcester Resource Centre. The role is a permanent contract, 29hrs 45mins per week, based in Worcester with hybrid working where possible. Salary ranges £23,753–£25,767 per annum and includes local government pension and development opportunities.

Flexibility, good communication, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Experience in learning disability support and recording care activity is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Flexible and enthusiastic, with strong communication skills.
• Good recording skills essential; computer skills advantageous.
• Experience in care and support needs beneficial; understanding rights of people with learning disabilities essential.
• Able to work as part of a team and use own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to engage in meaningful activities.
• Provide person-centred care and dignity.
• Assist with moving and handling; some heavier tasks.
• Maintain records and documentation.
