Job summary

Keys Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Cardiff to lead a team and provide person-centred support. You will work 40 hours per week across days/evenings/nights and weekends, ensuring care plans are followed and records are maintained with diligence.

With NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, you will liaise with health professionals, promote activities in the community, and contribute to a safe, supportive home environment for residents.

Qualifications

• NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Experience leading care teams is desirable.
• Ability to follow care plans and reporting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Support Workers and coordinate shifts.
• Provide high standards of care and support per plans.
• Encourage community activity and engagement for residents.
• Accurately report, record and maintain records as required.
• Liaise with health professionals and families as needed.
• Complete supervisions and audits of staff and processes.
• Ensure duties are performed to standards and maintain a positive home atmosphere.

From therapeutic and residential care to tailored supported living services, we support over 1000 individuals across England and Wales to live more independently and with greater confidence.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Managing a team of Support Workers
• Providinghigh standardsof care and support forpeople we support, in line with care and support plans
• Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
• Accurately report,recordandmaintainrecords asrequiredand working to care plans
• Liaise with health professionals and their families
• Complete supervisions and audits
• To ensure that all duties undertaken by reporting staff are performed to required standards, and that all such staff contribute in a positive manner to provide a happy, efficient and homely atmosphere within the Home.
