Job summary

Portman Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for Wisbech to lead shifts and deliver child-centred care in a residential setting. You will build positive relationships with young people, support routines and education, and work with families and professionals to monitor progress.

The role requires a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification, 12 months in a children's home, and a full UK driving licence.

Senior Residential Support Worker – Wisbech

Salary: £15.25–£15.85 per hour, plus an estimated £3,000–£8,000 per year from sleep-ins
Hours: 39 hours per week, working long days plus sleep-ins
Location: Wisbech
Driving requirement: Full UK driving licence

We're looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to help create a safe, nurturing home for young people in Wisbech. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, bringing energy to everyday activities and helping young people through difficult moments.

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll lead shifts and support your colleagues to provide consistent, child-centred care. You'll help young people develop confidence, independence and life skills, while making sure their views and needs remain at the heart of the support they receive.
