A leading care provider in Torquay is seeking a female Senior Support Worker to assist Cheryl and Craig. The role involves ensuring a fun, engaging, and independent lifestyle, supporting them with activities and emotional needs while promoting their well-being. Ideal candidates should have experience with brain injuries, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
Cheryl and Craig are looking for a Senior Support Worker.
She is a very busy lady with a full social life, loves horse riding, visiting the beach, singing, and karaoke. She also volunteers at her local homeless charity. As a Senior Support Worker, you will support Craig, her boyfriend, when necessary. Craig always has a big smile, enjoys a busy social life, goes to the gym, swims, and loves watching football. He also likes visiting his local pub with his girlfriend.

Cheryl lives independently in Torquay with an established support team. She is very independent but requires support with budgeting. Cheryl and Craig need a senior support worker to join their team and step up when the team leader is away.
We are looking for someone who is fun, interested in their hobbies, and can introduce Cheryl and Craig to new activities. Cheryl may need emotional support at times to manage anxiety, and Craig may struggle with memory issues due to his brain injury and can be stubborn. The role is about supporting their journey towards greater independence, focusing on fun and engagement.
Ideally, you will:
Craig is a fun-loving individual living with his family, planning to move out soon. He has a brain injury affecting mobility, but he is generally mobile and needs support with activities and outings. He enjoys a full social life, including trips away with his girlfriend and her support worker, such as recent holidays to Butlins. Craig’s support needs include assistance with his memory and stubbornness, but he leads an independent and fulfilling life, with aspirations for more travel and activities.

We are committed to safeguarding and follow robust recruitment procedures, including DBS checks, references, and screening. The cost of a DBS check will be borne by the employee but reimbursed after successful completion of the probation period (6 months).
