Senior Support Worker – Full-Time, Permanent Job Vacancy Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Location: Within a 30-minute commute of areas including Bassingbourn, Foxton, Shepreth, Litlington, Whaddon, Abington, Letchworth, Baldock, and Ashwell.

Salary: £13.05 - £13.65 per hour / £27,000 - £28,400 per annum DOE

Hours: Permanent, Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week

Key Duties:
  • Lead shifts, ensuring smooth operations and providing direction to team members.
  • Support Team Leaders and Care Managers in daily responsibilities.
  • Motivate and coach a team of support workers, fostering a positive and productive environment.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals you support.
  • Oversee the induction of new staff and assist with their ongoing development, including QCF qualifications and mandatory training.
  • Ensure all activities are completed, and individual support plans are followed and achieved.
  • Manage rotas effectively to always ensure adequate shift cover.
Essential Criteria:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with young adults with additional needs.
  • Strong organizational skills, resilience, and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends.
