Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a committed Senior Support Worker for a leading nursing home in the Milford on Sea area of Hampshire. You will work to provide high-quality resident care and support the team across daily activities.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care, be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, and be able to contribute to care planning and staff supervision. This is a full-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Proven experience in a care setting is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates a genuine desire to care for others.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
• Contribute to care planning and coaching of support workers.
• Promote services when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries.
• Update and write care plans and resident documentation.
• Make and report realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications to residents in accordance with policies and procedures.

**To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care**

As the Senior Support Worker your key duties include:

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £14.35 per hour and the annual salary is £26,863.20 per annum.This exciting position is a permanent full time role for 36 hours a week on a mix of shifts.In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
