Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a committed Support Worker for a leading nursing home in the Milford on Sea area, Hampshire. The role is 36 hours per week, permanent, with an hourly rate of £13.45 and an annual salary of £25,178.40.

You will support residents with personal care, daily activities and companionship, while promoting independence and well-being in a warm, homely environment. A competitive benefits package awaits the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated experience in a care setting is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**To be considered for this position you must hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent**

As the Support Worker your key duties include:

• Be an essential part of the team, promoting the well-being and providing the highest quality of care to residents
• Assist with daily tasks, inclusive of all personal care assistance from supporting with personal hygiene, through to days out and companionship
• Encourage independence, well-being and supporting vulnerable individuals with their daily routines and activities
• Ensure accurate record keeping at all times

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Have a genuine desire to care for others

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience of working in a care setting
