Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker for Marner House in Nuneaton. The role involves leading a team to enhance the quality of life for residents with ABI and complex needs, while supporting the service manager.

You will help plan shifts, supervise staff, support training, and contribute to safeguarding and person-centred care schedules in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Experience with individuals requiring enhanced support, including ABI.
• Ability to supervise and assist with daily operation of the service.

Responsibilities

• Help with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts, book training, induct new colleagues, supervise staff.
• Order medication and assist people to manage finances.

Job description

Senior Support Worker – 37.5 hours - Nuneaton - £14.04 per hour

Typical Shifts are on a 4 x day rota basis: 7:45am - 10:15pm x 1, 7:45am - 3:15pm x 2 and 2:15pm - 10:15pm x 1.

Cover may be required in an emergency/sickness/annual leave for Waking Night shifts: 10:00pm - 8:00am

Staff need to be fully flexible to work the above shifts from Monday to Sunday.

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our Adult ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service - Marner House in Nuneaton. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision's, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including an acquired brain injury, physical, emotional & behaviour needs, and people who have experienced trauma.
