Job summary

Voyage Care Ltd in Deal is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead our residential service and help people achieve greater independence within a supportive team. You will work closely with the Manager to supervise daily operations, allocate shifts, and support with training and medication ordering, while ensuring high-quality person-centred care in a welcoming environment.

This role also offers opportunities to develop leadership skills, contribute to service improvements, and enhance wellbeing

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care and experience with enhanced support, including behaviours of distress and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life.
• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts.
• Induct and train new colleagues.
• Support with supervision.
• Order medications.
• Help people we support manage their finances.

About the Role

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Deal. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

Responsibilities

• Helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives
• Assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service
• Allocating shifts
• Booking in trainingInducting new colleagues
• Supporting with supervision’s
• Ordering medication
• Ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
