Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers
Location: Ty Ffynu
Compensation: £13.95 / hour
Ty Ffynu is located in Abergavenny and offers residential support for four adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities. Our team uses a holistic, person‑centred approach, supported by a multidisciplinary team on site, to encourage residents to make their own choices and live independently. We also support individuals with complex needs, communication challenges or a forensic background.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will act as a positive role model, provide effective supervision and guidance to support staff, and ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care is delivered at all times.
You will play a key role in supervising day‑to‑day operations, coaching colleagues, leading team meetings, and ensuring the people we support live fulfilling, independent lives.
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
Since October 2022, it has been mandatory that all care workers in Wales must register themselves with Social Care Wales.
We want you to succeed at Priory and thrive in your role. You will be well supported with regular career conversations, full training and numerous pathways into leadership and qualified clinical positions.
