The Promoting Independent Living Service (PILS) supports citizens with learning disabilities to live independently within their own homes
PILS supports adults with learning disabilities to maintain their tenancies. Our goal is to provide a high standard of care for everyone who has a service from PILS service promoting their dignity, respect, and independence at all times.
Staff work together to develop Tenants' life skills enabling them to navigate all the challenges of living independently, with guidance, support, advice, and sometimes drawing on their own experiences
You will be the Senior Support Assistant at one of the properties we support, which has a single tenant and a staff team.
You will provide line management support to your team, holding regular supervision sessions with them. Hold regular team meetings. Your good rota management skills will ensure that the tenancy is adequately staffed at all times, complete support plans, positive handling plans, audits, and Health & Safety checks at the properties.
You will lead a team providing high standards of person-centred support to our Service Users, supporting them to complete everyday living tasks, work towards achieving their personal goals, and enable them to live as independently as they can.
Shift patterns: This is a 24/7 service and you will be part of a rolling 6-week rota pattern. This will include early, late and weekend shifts. Sleep-ins and Bank holiday working.. You will also have identified office days when you will be working from our office building.

In addition, you will also receive a shift allowance of 14%and a sleep-in payment for each sleep-in duty completed.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
