Job summary

Fortress Safety, part of Halma, is hiring a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in Wolverhampton. This hybrid role leads the global supplier quality program, from evaluation and approval through risk management and continuous improvement, partnering with Procurement and internal QA teams.

You will drive supplier readiness for NPI, lead root-cause analyses, and support compliance audits while traveling as needed to sites in the UK and abroad.

Qualifications

• Experience leading supplier quality teams in a growth environment.
• Broad supplier and manufacturing quality expertise.
• Experience supporting customer and third‑party audits.
• Proven supplier risk assessment across multiple domains.
• Strong understanding of QMS/EMS and core tools (APQP/PPAP/MSA).
• Hands‑on electronics and mechanical manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality, driving processes with global teams.
• Define and improve supplier quality processes including NPI.
• Lead supplier issue resolution with root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Procurement on strategy and supplier relations.
• Advance supplier risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Support sourcing compliance and supply continuity.
• Assist new product introduction with supplier readiness.
• Travel within the UK and abroad as needed.
