Job summary

Flex is seeking a Supplier Quality Lead in Blackburn or Kendal, UK, to ensure externally supplied materials meet quality, delivery, and regulatory requirements. You will lead supplier quality performance, drive improvements across the supplier base, and mitigate risk through robust containment and development of key suppliers.

You will report to the Quality Manager and partner with Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing to enhance supplier capability, drive corrective actions, and support

Qualifications

• Experience in supplier quality or quality engineering within manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Proven track record in driving supplier improvements and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities and development plans for key suppliers.
• Oversee supplier non-conformance management with effective containment and root cause analysis.
• Monitor supplier quality performance via scorecards, audits and business reviews.
• Ensure suppliers are qualified, risk-assessed, and compliant before new product introductions.
• Lead PPAP activities and support validation of engineering/process changes.
• Coach and develop the Supplier Quality Technician and work with cross-functional teams.
