Job summary

General Dynamics United Kingdom Limited is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier performance, quality and compliance across our UK supply chain. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, support supplier development, and act as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The role offers hybrid working (typically 3 days in office) with occasional travel to supplier sites across the UK and Europe, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve supplier quality performance across the supply chain.
• Investigate supplier non-conformances, identify root causes, drive corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier audits and on-site/remote assessments of quality systems.
• Support supplier approvals, development, performance reviews and rationalisation.
• Manage supplier quality issues with robust action plans and timely resolutions.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation, inspection plans and control processes.
• Analyze supplier quality trends and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day quality engineering support to suppliers and internal teams.
