Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Senior Site Manager (SR163) to lead energy transmission projects, based out of Cardiff with site travel. The role requires coordinating high‑voltage substations, safety compliance, and interface with National Grid and design teams.

Successful candidates will hold SR163 authorisation, CSCS/SMSTS credentials, and a UK driving licence, with a track record in live HV projects and CDM governance. The package includes strong benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven background delivering live high-voltage transmission/substation projects.
• Experience leading complex construction teams on energy infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 duties and RAMS processes.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Principal Contractor and discharge duties under CDM 2015 as Site Manager.
• Oversee health, safety, and compliance; manage CPPs and RAMS.
• Coordinate substation, HV, and M&E construction activities and subcontractors.
• Liaise with National Grid, design teams, and engineers to resolve site issues.
