GE Grid Solutions in Hawton, United Kingdom seeks a Secondary Design Manager to lead a geographically diverse team delivering protection and control schematics and substation equipment. You will ensure budget, deadlines and quality while promoting ease of installation, operation and maintenance of the system.

You will plan activities, manage execution, coordinate documentation for procurement, manufacturing and site erection, and drive design delivery with stakeholders and partners across

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Several years of engineering experience in project/EPC environments in T&D, Power Gen or Oil & Gas.
• Experience with project technical management processes in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience leading externally subcontracted design work packages.
• Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution industry.

Responsabilités

• Lead design team and coordinate execution progress.
• Oversee delivery of engineering documentation for procurement, manufacturing and site erection.
• Ensure on-time design delivery with suitable quality, including partner documents.
• Coordinate with partners, suppliers and customers on designs and comments.
• Analyse customer requirements and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities in all design phases.
