Job summary

Turning Point UK in North East Lincolnshire is recruiting Advanced Practitioners to join our opiate and alcohol teams. You will hold a defined caseload with complex needs, supervise up to two Recovery Workers, and contribute to MDTs and treatment planning.

Qualifications

  • Experienced in substance use treatment and recovery settings.
  • Specialist knowledge in one or more complexities (mental health, homelessness, etc.).
  • Understanding of risk and risk management in substance use.
  • Significant experience in health and social care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise no more than 2 Recovery Workers.
  • Provide one-to-one support to Recovery Workers and develop their practice.
  • Support a team during outreach while following Lone Working policy.
  • Lead monthly generic audits of Recovery Worker cases and discuss outcomes.
  • Prioritise Harm Reduction and document in the case management system.
  • Oversee issues related to the people we support during leave and ensure continuous care.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies; act as first contact for difficulties.
  • Participate in weekly MDTs and guide treatment plans.
  • Deputise for Team Leader in their absence.
  • Engage in training to develop leadership skills; chair MDT in Team Leader's absence.
  • Safeguarding: support guidance for safeguarding concerns with safeguarding lead.
