Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead subcontract procurement within the construction sector. You will manage procurement processes, ensure contractual compliance and control commercial risk, aligning packages with programmes and NEC contract requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in the construction industry.
• Extensive subcontract procurement and commercial management experience.
• Strong NEC contracts and subcontract administration knowledge.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; HND/ONC relevant.
• CSCS card.
• MRICS or MCIOB desirable.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and manage stakeholders under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Act as the main point of contact for subcontract procurement processes and contractual requirements.
• Manage and maintain subcontract tender schedules and tender records, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Coordinate subcontract recommendations, providing senior management with the information required to make informed procurement decisions.
• Review and manage the project procurement plan, ensuring subcontract packages are awarded within programme requirements.
• Ensure appropriate subcontract recommendations and contract types are used for each package.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, procedures and commercial performance.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of NEC subcontract forms and associated contract documentation.
• Work collaboratively with commercial, operational and design teams to ensure subcontract orders include all relevant documentation.
• Manage subcontract approvals and CV approval registers, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Ensure subcontract orders are placed in accordance with approved recommendations and within required timescales.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks associated with subcontract procurement and order placement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, contractual obligations, industry standards and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of contract administration.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and professional development.
