Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Construction Subcontract Manager to oversee development and management of new scopes on Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation works within EPIC decommissioning, CCS projects. You will lead the Subcontract Engineers/Administrators, ensure proper administration, and drive cost control across offshore facilities and industrial plant scopes.

The role requires 5+ years as a Quantity Surveyor with experience in oil and gas or energy projects and exposure to contract

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in Offshore facilities, industrial plants, or complex construction projects in Oil&Gas or energy sectors.
• Some exposure to contract management activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Subcontract Engineers/Administrators team.
• Ensure Subcontract Administration procedures are followed by Subcontractors.
• Initiate letters/notices to Subcontractors and reply to their correspondence.
• Review and validate progress payments submitted by Subcontractors.
• Support project management in identifying variations/claims with cost/schedule impact.
• Analyze Site Technical Queries, Site Instructions, and Deviation Requests for cost impact and negotiate with Subcontractors on price.
• Ensure processing of extra works, new unit prices, claims, back charges, liquidated damages, and close-out of Subcontracts.
• Participate in change management and forecast analysis.
• Issue Completion Certificates.
• Update Subcontracts Forecasts analyses regularly.
• Manage commercial close-out of Subcontract Agreements.
• Capture lessons learned and feedback on Construction issues.
