Job summary

Saipem in the UK is seeking a Construction Subcontract Engineer to manage and improve subcontract scopes within EPIC projects, focusing on Mechanical, E&I, and Buildings work for the ENI Liverpool Bay Decommissioning & Carbon Capture project.

You will ensure subcontract administration, cost review, change management, and coordination with management. Required: 3–5 years as a Quantity Surveyor in oil & gas or energy sectors, with onshore experience. Offshore experience is welcome.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors.
• Onshore experience is mandatory; offshore experience is welcome.
• Experience with large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Subcontract Administration procedure is implemented and followed by Subcontractors.
• Initiate letters and notices to Subcontractors and ensure timely replies.
• Review and validate progress payments submitted by Subcontractors.
• Support project management in identifying variations and claims with implications on program and cost.
• Conduct cost impact analysis of site queries and lead negotiation with Subcontractors.
• Ensure processing of extra works, new unit prices, claims, back charges and closeout of Subcontracts.
• Participate in change management and forecast analysis.
• Issue Completion Certificates.
• Configure contracts/price lists in Colav and manage revisions.
• Guide Subcontractors in submitting WP, NP and CWO.
• Support Subcontractors in submitting Back-Ups.
• Verify coherence between physical progress and economic progress.
• Execute Forecasts Analysis.
