Job description

We're looking for a Senior Stylist to set and hold the styling tone of the season across everything we shoot — campaign, e-commerce and content.

This is a role for someone with a strong visual eye and a real point of view. You'll work closely with the Creative Director and Head of Design to translate the seasonal design story into styling that feels considered, current and unmistakably Monsoon or Accessorize — then make sure that tone carries consistently from a campaign hero image through to a cut-out on a marketplace listing.

Our in-house studio produces all e-commerce, campaign and video content across three brand streams, plus assets for third-party retail partners and marketplaces. It's a high-volume environment with genuinely high creative expectations, so we need someone who can hold an editorial standard and a critical path at the same time.

You'll also lead the mid-weight and junior stylists in the team — building the organisation and discipline that makes a busy studio work, and bringing them on as stylists in their own right.

We’d love to hear from you if you’re calm under shoot-day pressure, collaborative with your team, and have a sharp eye for detail. You bring ideas to the table, give clear, considered feedback and always keep the bigger seasonal picture in mind — seeing every project through to the finish!

What you'll do as Senior Stylist
Set the styling direction
  • Work with the Creative Director and Head of Design to define the styling tone for each season — silhouette, layering, proportion, accessorising, hair and make-up direction alongside the wider creative team
  • Translate seasonal design and trend direction into practical, repeatable styling principles the whole studio can work to
  • Build styling references and guidelines for campaign and e-commerce, and keep them live as the season evolves
  • Review and evolve the e-commerce style guide so product is shown consistently, commercially and beautifully
Deliver on set
  • Lead styling on campaign shoots — pre-shoot prep, run-throughs, fittings, on-set decision-making and sign-off
  • Oversee styling quality across e-commerce shoot days, working closely with photographers, models and the wider studio team
  • Style across womenswear, accessories and kidswear, adapting tone by brand without losing the thread between them
  • Make fast, confident calls on set that protect both the creative standard and the shoot schedule
  • Lead and develop the team
  • Line manage the mid-weight and junior stylists — day-to-day direction, workload planning, one-to-ones, objectives and reviews
  • Own the brand styling guidelines and make sure the whole team is working to them across Monsoon, Accessorize, Kids and Angels
  • Build organisation into how the team works — rail prep, run sheets, sample tracking, returns — so the discipline becomes the norm rather than something you chase
  • Coach on the craft: fit, proportion, accessorising, on-set problem solving. Give specific, usable feedback rather than general encouragement
  • Bring junior stylists on to the point where they can hold a shoot day themselves, and be clear with them about what that takes
  • Brief and direct freelance stylists and assistants to the same standard
Own the process
  • Manage sample selection, call-in, prep and returns in partnership with production, buying and merchandising
  • Plan styling resource across the shoot schedule, balancing the in-house team and freelance support
  • Build and maintain a strong network of freelance styling talent
  • Work with production and the Studio Manager to keep styling running to the critical path, flagging risks early
  • Work across the business
  • Partner with Buying, Merchandising and Trade so styling reflects the commercial priorities of the season and hero product is shown at its best
  • Work with Digital, Social and Marketing so styling translates across channel formats and crop ratios
  • Feed insight back into the creative team on what’s performing and what’s landing
What success looks like
  • The styling tone for each season is clearly defined, well documented and consistently applied — nothing feels off-brand or accidental
  • Campaign imagery has an editorial standard that lifts the brand; e-commerce imagery is clean, commercial and consistent at volume
  • Shoots run to schedule because samples, rails and prep are organised ahead of the day
  • The Creative Director and Head of Design can hand over a season’s direction and trust it will be interpreted properly without needing to check every rail
  • Freelance stylists arrive briefed and deliver to a consistent standard
  • The mid and junior stylists work to the guidelines without needing to be checked, and are visibly better stylists a year in
  • You spot what isn’t good enough before anyone else has to raise it
What will you need to succeed as Senior Stylist?
  • Significant styling experience within retail or fashion, at senior or lead level
  • A strong visual eye and a genuine editorial sensibility — you know what makes an image feel elevated rather than just correct
  • Proven experience styling both campaign and e-commerce, and an understanding of how differently each needs to work
  • Experience across womenswear, accessories and kidswear
  • Experience working within an in-house studio or high-volume content environment
  • Familiarity with marketplace and third-party retail asset requirements
  • An established freelance styling network
  • Highly organised, with real command of samples, rails, run sheets and critical path
  • Confident directing on set and briefing others, including freelancers
  • Experience line managing and developing stylists, with a real appetite for bringing people on rather than just allocating work
  • A clear sense of ownership — you take the standard personally and don’t wait to be asked
  • Strong commercial instinct, and comfort balancing creative ambition with product and trade priorities
  • Excellent communicator who can hold their ground with senior stakeholders and explain the thinking behind a decision
What will we offer you in return?
  • 23 days holiday with the option to purchase additional holiday through our salary sacrifice scheme
  • Bonus day off each year after 6 months service
  • A pension that you will automatically be enrolled in after 3 months
  • Life assurance (subject to participating in the pension scheme)
  • A flexible working approach
  • Early pay day Friday finish
  • A generous staff discount with up to 50% discount on our products
  • Interest free season ticket loans
  • Additional discounts such as Westfield discount, Taste card membership etc
