Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment is seeking a Structural Steel Sales Manager in Chatham, Kent. This permanent, customer-facing role requires selling structural steel, steel fabrication or construction products, developing opportunities, managing relationships from enquiry through to order, and working closely with estimating, production and operations.

You will identify opportunities, prepare quotations, negotiate orders and ensure smooth handover to production.

Qualifications

• Experience selling structural steel or related construction products.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to develop relationships and win new business.

Responsibilities

• Develop new sales opportunities across structural steel and construction sectors.
• Build long-term relationships with contractors, developers and fabricators.
• Manage existing customers and identify repeat business opportunities.
• Prepare accurate, commercially competitive quotations.
• Follow up enquiries and quotations through to orders.
• Negotiate pricing and secure profitable work.
• Coordinate handover into production with estimating, production and operations.
• Maintain regular communication with customers throughout projects.
