Job summary

YTL UK is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Bath-based team. You will design foundations, tanks, and related structures for water and wastewater projects, providing technical input and approvals across the project lifecycle.

The role blends office design work with site involvement, asset condition assessments, and temporary works planning. A Chartered engineer with strong communication and planning skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in structural or civil engineering, with MSc preferred.
• Chartered status with professional institute (IStructE or ICE) is preferred.
• Experience in designing tank, road and building foundations, shaft collars and base plugs.
• Proficient with Eurocodes and British Standards.

Responsibilities

• Design structural/civil works for water industry projects, including foundations and tank repairs.
• Provide technical input and approval for internally delivered works.
• Assess asset condition for concrete, steel, and GRP structures.
• Support project teams and stakeholders across the YTL group.
• Coordinate with site teams and conduct temporary works design risk assessments.
