Job summary

YTL Construction UK is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design for water industry infrastructure, including foundations, tank repairs and asset assessments. The role blends office design work with site visits across the region and requires chartered status or close progression toward it.

You will coordinate with project teams, ensure compliance with Eurocodes and British Standards, and mentor junior staff within a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in structural or civil engineering; MSc preferred.
• Chartered member of IStructE or ICE.
• Experience designing foundations, shafts and pipe supports.
• Proficient with Eurocodes and British Standards.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design across water industry projects including foundations and tank repairs.
• Provide technical input and approvals for in-house structural works.
• Drive the function's development and support project teams.
• Perform asset condition assessments on concrete, steel and GRP structures.
• Support site teams and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Attend sites for reactive support as needed.
