Job summary

Calibre Search is representing an established Birmingham-based multidisciplinary consultancy seeking a Senior/Principal Structural Engineer to join their team. You will lead projects from concept to construction and help grow the Birmingham office, including mentoring engineers and developing client relationships.

Qualifications

• Around 10 years or more experience in structural engineering consultancy.
• Comfortable working across steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or coordinating small project teams.
• Chartership is advantageous but not essential; company can support progressing toward Chartered.
• UK driving licence is required for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
• Develop and manage an established Birmingham team, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
• Oversee project delivery, programmes and technical quality.
• Design and assess structures in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Undertake structural surveys and produce detailed technical reports.
