Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK in Bristol is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support a major infrastructure and nuclear new build program. You will oversee design governance, review contractor deliverables, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex civil engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Experience on major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, defence, industrial, marine or large-scale construction projects.
• Background in civil/ structural design and reinforced concrete structures.
• Experience reviewing engineering designs, specifications and contractor deliverables.
• Knowledge of design assurance, governance, surveillance or quality management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for major civil engineering and infrastructure packages.
• Review contractor and supplier design deliverables for compliance with requirements and standards.
• Develop, review and maintain technical specifications and documentation.
• Manage technical queries during design, procurement, manufacturing and construction phases.
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Contribute to constructability assessments and design integration activities.
• Capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
