An established structural and civil engineering consultancy based in Leicester is looking to appoint an experienced Associate / Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team.

This role offers the chance to take on greater technical and commercial responsibility while working on a varied portfolio of building structures projects across the Midlands and wider UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered status with IStructE or ICE, or significant progress toward chartership.
• Strong UK consultancy experience in building structures.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects through all design stages.

An established structural and civil engineering consultancy based in Leicester is looking to appoint an experienced Associate / Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate / Senior Structural Engineer who wants to take on greater technical and commercial responsibility while working on a varied portfolio of building structures projects across the Midlands and wider UK.

The Role As an Associate / Senior Structural Engineer, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion. The Associate / Senior Structural Engineer will work closely with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, technically and commercially.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing structural engineering projects through all design stages.
• Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
• Designing in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Attending client and design team meetings.
• Coordinating with architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians.
• Assisting with fee proposals, project resourcing and client relationships.
• Maintaining high technical and quality standards across projects.
• At Associate level, the Associate / Senior Structural Engineer will also contribute to team leadership, business development and the continued growth of their Leicester office.

Required Experience

The successful Associate / Senior Structural Engineer should have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status with the IStructE or ICE, or significant progress towards chartership.
• Strong UK consultancy experience within building structures.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes and UK design standards.
• Experience delivering structural projects from concept to construction.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Previous experience mentoring or managing engineers would be advantageous.
