Job summary

Narro Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Scotland. You will lead the design and delivery of complex structural projects from concept through to completion, mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with architects, developers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or progress toward Chartership.
• Proven experience delivering building structures projects independently.
• Strong technical capability across structural materials.
• Experience using industry-standard analysis and modelling software.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Commercial awareness and project management capability.
• Collaborative approach with mentoring and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design, analysis, and delivery of complex projects from concept to completion.
• Manage projects to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
• Act as primary technical contact for clients, architects, and contractors.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage resources effectively.
• Undertake site inspections, design team meetings, and construction-stage support.
• Review and approve technical designs, calculations, and reports.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Safety legislation.
