Qualifications

• Professional qualification with a BSc, MSc, BEng or MEng in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or membership of IStructE/ICE.
• Knowledge of structural steelwork and reinforced concrete to current European/British Standards.
• Experience designing different building structures within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Committed to Continuing Professional Development.

Responsibilities

• Produce and check structural design calculations, drawings, models, reports, specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate structural design information with Architecture and Building Services Engineering.
• Set and implement structural design strategies with sustainability and low-carbon targets.
• Act as lead structural designer on significant building projects.
• Mentor other Structural Engineers and Technicians.
