Job summary

Ridge is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design across concrete, steel, masonry and timber, and to work within a BIM-enabled environment. You will manage projects from inception to completion with emphasis on quality, budget and programme.

You will oversee detailed design and production of drawings, supervise junior engineers, and undertake site visits and technical reporting to clients. A UK driving licence and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• MEng/BEng/BSc & MSc or equivalent postgraduate experience in structural engineering.
• Chartered or near Chartered status with IStructE or ICE is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in design of structures across concrete, steel, masonry and timber.
• Experience with 2D/3D design packages (TEKLA, TEDDS, Masterseries).
• Experience with BIM and 3D modelling; familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead or act as designer for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Carry out structural analysis and design following Eurocodes.
• Oversee production of detailed design drawings and calculations.
• Mentor junior engineers, technicians and apprentices.
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and prepare technical reports for clients.
