Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP invites applications for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a seasoned structures team. You will help prepare outline designs, perform Eurocode-based calculations with modern 3D software, and coordinate with BIM specialists on complex UK and international projects.

You should hold a degree in structural or civil engineering, have basic on-site exposure, and be proficient in AutoCAD or Revit. The firm offers a challenging development path within a leading consultancy.

Qualifications

• A degree in structural or civil engineering is required.
• A solid foundation in structural design or on-site experience is expected.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes is required and will be discussed at interview.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit at a drawing/design level is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline designs for structural schemes based on the client’s brief.
• Carry out detailed design calculations to Eurocodes using the latest 3D design software.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines and BIM specialists.
• Assist with production of detailed design drawings and specifications for tender purposes.
• Visit site during construction to monitor progress.
• Carry out structural surveys of existing buildings and advise on issues.
• Analyze and report on structural defects in existing buildings.
• Check outgoing and incoming documents, including contractor proposals.
