Job summary

Zesty Work is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead multi-discipline design projects from concept to completion. You will perform concept and feasibility studies, deliver design work, inspections, and provide construction site support for major infrastructure.

Proficiency with TEDDS, Tekla and IDEA StatiCA, plus hand calculations, is essential. You will prepare calculations, CDM activities, material specifications and technical reports, and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified Structural Engineer with BEng or MEng.
• Familiarity with seismic, dynamic, and extreme environmental loading is advantageous.
• Strong technical design expertise with proficiency in British and international standards / Eurocodes.
• Experience in preparing bids and proposals and strong client relationships.
• BIM packages knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
• Deliver design work, inspections, and construction site support for major infrastructure projects.
• Produce hand calculations and design documentation as required.
• Prepare calculations, CDM activities, material specifications, and technical reports.
• Oversee inter-discipline design coordination and mentor junior engineers.

Your role will also involve performing concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects. You will be responsible for delivering design work, conducting inspections, and providing construction site support for major infrastructure projects. Proficiency in analysis and design using engineering software such as TEDDS, Tekla and IDEA StatiCA is essential, along with the ability to produce hand calculations.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will prepare various documents, including calculations, CDM activities, material specifications, technical reports, and oversee inter-discipline design coordination. A key aspect of the role will be assisting and mentoring team members to foster their technical and professional development.
