Job summary

Calibre Search is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer for Leeds city centre. Based in a multidisciplinary consultancy, the role offers hybrid working and a path toward Principal level as the team expands.

You will lead structural design packages, coordinate with architects, contractors and other engineers, and take on broader responsibilities including fee proposals and risk management.

Qualifications

• Strong background in UK building structures consultancy.
• Experience designing in steel and reinforced concrete.
• Ability to take responsibility for own designs and communicate with clients.
• Experience with refurbishment and existing buildings is useful.
• Familiarity with Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS or MasterSeries.
• Chartered through IStructE or ICE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural design packages and projects from early stages through delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and other engineers.
• Contribute to the commercial side: fee proposals, scopes, budgets, contracts and risk management.
• Support and develop junior team members.
