WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a structural engineer to design packages, produce reports, and supervise 3D models and drawings. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated solutions and communicate designs through drawings, sketches and presentations.

You will visit sites for inspections and assess existing structures, reporting to the lead structural engineer and engaging with project teams to drive successful outcomes.

Formación

• An engineering degree and progress toward Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE).
• Working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes.
• A developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software.
• An interest in low carbon design and the assessment of embodied carbon in your design solutions.
• A willingness to take responsibility for your designs, be proactive and support less experienced members of the team.
• Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake structural engineering design for discrete work packages, including reports, calculation packages and specifications.
• Supervise technicians in producing 3D models and drawings communicating the solutions clearly.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated design solutions.
• Communicate your design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations.
• Visit site to carry out inspections during the construction phase and assess existing structures.
• Report to the lead structural engineer and engage with multidisciplinary design teams on projects.
