Vertical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a Bristol-based consultancy. The role involves leading projects from concept to completion and working within a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 and a hybrid working pattern with two days per week home working, plus opportunities across healthcare, education, and high-rise residential sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Proven experience as a Structural Engineer in a UK consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Familiar with UK design standards, Eurocodes and building regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver structural engineering projects across sectors.
• Undertake design and analysis of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Manage projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Produce and review structural calculations, technical specifications, reports and design documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, clients and contractors to deliver integrated structural solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and support fee proposals and client relationships.
• Ensure designs comply with UK regulations and health and safety.
