Job summary

Bimplus, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Building Structures team on a permanent basis. You will contribute to complex projects across the built environment, driving design from early concepts through to detailed delivery.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, engage with clients and stakeholders, and support chartership progression while embracing BIM and digital engineering processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Membership of ICE, IStructE, or similar institution is expected.
• Experience with steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry design.
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and current design standards.
• Experience with structural analysis software and BIM-enabled projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of buildings using various materials.
• Deliver engineering solutions from concept to detailed design.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project delivery to programme and budget.
• Attend client meetings and technical workshops.
• Conduct site inspections and project reviews.
• Produce calculations, reports and design documentation.
• Contribute to BIM-led design and digital engineering processes.
• Mentor and share knowledge with junior engineers.
